We are a pregnancy resource center established in 2008 to serve women & families in the Northwest Metro community. We restore to hope to those facing an unplanned pregnancy. We offer FREE pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, educational resources, compassionate counseling, material assistance and referrals for resources like health insurance, financial assistance and more.
How do we make a difference in the lives of our clients and in turn, families and our community?
ENCOURAGE, EMPOWER and EMBRACE.
ENCOURAGE: We encourage clients to tell us their story. What are they thinking about a pregnancy (not their boyfriend or parent)? What do they need to make the best decision for themselves and their baby? We listen compassionately to learn how we can best support them.
We empower through programs such as our Step Forward client incentive program
. Through Step Forward, clients earn points by taking classes on labor & delivery, breast feeding, child development, budgeting, healthy relationships & more. The points earned are redeemed for items like diapers, formula, clothing, strollers & much more. Our client’s investment in Step Forward empowers them with the knowledge & confidence that they have the courage & ability to persevere; the knowledge that they have the strength to do what it takes to build full and rewarding lives – for themselves and their children.
EMBRACE: We embrace our clients on their journey, through pregnancy and beyond. We’re with them every step of the way and show them they are not alone. Our client, Sasha (name changed to protect privacy), came to us after binge drinking up until the day before her scheduled abortion. She was using street drugs & smoking heavily until she found out she was pregnant. The father of her baby was abusive & tempting her with drugs pressuring her to abort her baby. Through professional therapy, a referral to WIC for general assistance, and commitment to our Step Forward classes, Sasha went from scared and uncertain to confident and determined. With her earned points, she ‘purchased’ a pack n play, high chair, stroller, baby gates, mountains of diapers, clothing & more. She broke off the toxic relationship with her boyfriend, got her own apartment, passed her GED, began college courses and has remained drug-free. She is a proud and devoted mother to her son, who will be one year old in July. She still visits and stays in touch. Sasha did all the hard work, we simply empowered her and reminded her she was capable of doing it.
Sasha says: “WomenSource helped me face my first pregnancy with courage and love. They helped me with my goals in school and therapy and are just very genuine and supportive. I love coming to WomenSource, it’s like catching up with the girlfriends! Thank you for everything!”
Your support helps Sasha and clients like her. Together, we can help change just one life, and in turn change the lives of generations to come. Thank you!
